Adams Bridge won't Download/Install

Problem

When navigating to the Assets page a new tab opens and a dialog appears to download Adams Bridge, however the dialog shows an error rather than the option to install.

In the details for the dialog it says:

Your Web browser settings do not allow you to run signed applications.

Solution

While the literal interpretation of the message is that the "Run components signed with Authenticode" security setting is set to Disable, the most like cause is that Adams Web is being mapped to the wrong Internet Zone. To verify the zone:

  1. Open Adams Web in Internet Explorer
  2. Then got to: Internet Explorer →Internet Options → Security
  3. The highlighted zone is the one the current site (Adams Web) is mapped to. It needs to be "Local intranet"
  4. To map Adams Web to the correct zone via Group Policy see: Set Local Intranet Sites List via Domain Group Policy
