Set Local Intranet Sites List via Domain Group Policy
This article applies to ADAMS® versions pre-8.1
Prior to 8.1, when the Adams Web server is not identified as a local intranet set web browsers will block the installation of Adams Bridge. To force the Adams Web server to be identified as a local intranet site set the group policy below.
Follow these steps to create a group policy object for the domain that will set the Local Intranet Sites list in IE.
This is the domain group policy equivalent of the following:
IE > Internet Options > Settings > Internet Options > Security > Local intranet > Sites > Advanced
or
Chrome > Settings > Advanced > Open proxy settings > Security > Local intranet > Sites > Advanced
To add the domain, a machine, or a site to the local intranet sites list do the following:
On the domain controller open Group Policy Management
Group Policy Management -> Forest -> Domains -> domain -> Group Policy Objects -> Default Domain Policy ->(right click) Edit…Group Policy Management Editor
