User denied access to Application using Novell eDirectory

Problem

Scenario:

Directory Server: Novell eDirectory

Adams version: 4.4 or later

Applications are secured using the "Run Application" privilege.  However, users in the appropriate groups are told they don't have the necessary privileges when they try and run an application.

Problem:

What is occurring is that attempts to lookup users in the directory server are failing.  They fail because the query used to find users returns nothing.

Solution

Change the value of the User Sid Key in the Central Config from "dn" to "cn".

Existing entries in the identity_table, recently_accessed, asset_folder_access, and asset_access tables may need to be updated.  This can be done in bulk using SQL.
