Intranet DNS Lookups Not Working
Problem
DNS lookups for resources outside the intranet work fine but lookups for any intranet (specifically domain) resources fail.
Solution
Make sure you have administrative rights
Remove all keys below HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\DnsClient\DnsPolicyConfig
Restart the DNS Cache
Note: This is a workaround because the issue can/will re-occur. The cause is unknown. It may have something to do with DirectAccess. However it has occurred in environments where DirectAccess is not being used.
