How to Deactivate a Foray Adams License

Before a machine is decommissioned, hard drive is replaced, or OS is reinstalled it is important to deactivate any Adams licenses. These instructions are for common Foray Adams applications. If the application you need to deactivate isn't listed here please contact support@foray.com.

 Digital Viewer & Digital Workplace

1. Release/Deactivate

   1. Open Digital Viewer/Workplace

   2. Select the Help option on the menu bar

   3. Select Deactivate

   4. You will have a deactivation box pop-up on the screen / use the automate deactivation / you should receive message back with deactivation successful

2. Uninstall

   1. Uninstallation is not strictly necessary but will prevent accidental re-activation if the machine is being re-purposed

   2. Uninstall the application using the control panel options

   3. Select Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove programs

   4. Select the Digital Viewer/Workplace

   5. Click Remove

Digital Acquire

1. Release/Deactivate

   1. This application must be deactivated via the command line

   2. Click Start->Run

   3. Type: cmd

   4. Press Enter

   5. Type: cd "C:\Program Files\Foray\Digital Acquire"

   6. Type: "Digital Acquire.exe" -deactivate

   7. You will have a deactivation box pop-up on the screen / use the automate deactivation / you should receive message back with deactivation successful

2. Uninstall

   1. Uninstallation is not strictly necessary but will prevent accidental re-activation if the machine is being re-purposed

   2. Uninstall the application using the control panel options

   3. Select Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove programs

   4. Select the Digital Acquire

   5. Click Remove
