Instructions

For Digital Workplace

1. launch Digital Workplace and note the version #
2. go to help>deactivate, and deactivate the application
3. if AFIS Connect is installed, deactivate this FIRST, then Digital Workplace (this returns the licenses to Foray for the new machine)
4. copy the "Foray.Adams.Config.xml" file, located in C:\programs files\Foray, to a thumb drive or network location
5. go to start>settings>control panel>add remove programs, and uninstall all Foray applications, usually Digital Workplace, AFIS Connect, and Update Service
6. make note of any mapped drives related to AFIS Connect, and copy the *.bat file to which creates them
7. decommision the machine

For Digital Acquire


1. launch Digital Acquire and note the version #, then close the application
2. no deactivation is required
3. copy the "Foray.Adams.Config.xml" file, located in C:\programs files\Foray, to a thumb drive or network location
4. go to start>settings>control panel>add remove programs, and uninstall all Foray applications, usually Digital Acquire and Update Service
5. decommision the machine

Reinstalling Digital Workplace:

1. From the installer/pre-requisite package, install Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 Fix Pack 2.5 (Foray)
2. Install Digital Workplace (same version that was uninstalled)
3. Install AFIS Connect (if the machine originally had it)
4. Install Update Service
5. Copy the "Foray.Adams.Config.xml" file, to the root of "C:\programs files\Foray"
6. Run Digital Workplace, which should activate both components
7. Test application

Reinstalling Digital Acquire:

1. From the installer/pre-requisite package, install Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 Fix Pack 2.5 (Foray).

2. Install Digital Acquire
3. Install Update Service
4. Copy the "Foray.Adams.Config.xml" file, to the root of "C:\programs files\Foray"
5. Run Digital Acquire, as it no longer requires activation
6. Test application

NOTES:

If you should encounter the Foray Application "Configure Adams" installed on a machine in the field, remove it and do not reinstall. This was probably installed inadvertently and should only be run from the server. End users should not have access to this application.
