Nikon Camera Settings (Basic Setup)


Instructions

  • Using the Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 software, the images should be saved as RAW, not TIF.
  • The bit depth should be set to 14-bit versus 12-bit. (More on this issue later.)
  • The Auto Focus function must be enabled on the lens barrel (changing the switch to MA not M) as well as on the face of the camera (from M to S).
  • Install the Nikon Viewing software (NXView2) on the camera workstations
  • Install the Nikon Codec on all workstations
