Automatic Prompt to install Adams Admin or Adams Web

In Microsoft Edge you may see a prompt similar to the following:

Edge will automatically show the “Install App” prompt when:

  • The site meets PWA install criteria as indicated by this icon image-20251030-203239.png in the address bar, and

  • The user has visited the site multiple times or engaged with it meaningfully, and

  • Edge’s “App suggestions” or “Offer to install web apps” features are enabled.

These heuristics are client-side and can vary per user, depending on local browsing patterns and Edge’s internal engagement scores. Chrome, by contrast, only shows the install icon in the address bar unless the site explicitly calls the beforeinstallprompt event.
