Windows Event Log

The System queue shows Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol service and/or Remote Access Connection Manager errors at the time of the Acquisition Service installation.

Solution

The issue may be that the Remote Access Connection Manager service cannot start because the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol service is disabled. To resolve, follow these steps.

You may need to reboot before trying these steps.

  1. Open the Windows Services app

  2. Set the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol service status to Manual

  3. Start the Remote Access Connection Manager service

  4. Run the Acquisition Service installer
